Our sintering capabilities include both conventional and high temperature furnaces. Our continuous belt furnaces feature temperatures to 2150°F (1176°C) and vari-cool technology. Rapid cooling capability allows for the formation of a martensitic structure during the sintering cycle as an alternative to traditional post-sinter oil-quench heat-treatment. This technology is commonly referred to as sinter hardening. Our high temperature pusher furnaces allow up to 2600°F (1400°C) and are used primarily to optimize material properties for the most demanding applications. ASM boasts one of the world’s largest installations of high temperature sintering capacity.
