PROCESS
ASM has been QS9000 registered since 1998
The process of making a powdered metal part begins with the suppliers. The quality of a powdered metal part starts with the control and quality built into the materials used by ASM.
Basic parts are produced by combining desired metal powders into an alloy, which is fed into compaction molds , compacted to desired shape, and sintered to a specific size and density. This process eliminates many of the machining operations required with other metal forming methods.
